Refute Global Warming with Two Simple Statements

No matter how well versed the man-made global warming advocate, there are two simple statements born on common sense that prove man-made global warming is merely a myth.  Never mind the manipulated scientific data, never mind the exaggerated truth of Al Gore, never mind the science fiction believed as fact, these statements will effectively cease all debate leaving the advocate speechless.

Statement One:  The Earth has been heating and cooling on its own for eons without man’s involvement. Temperature change is natural.  This is a universally undisputed fact reflected in geological and fossil records.  Man has had no involvement with global temperature changes.  Hubris alone accounts for his belief that he can affect the outcome.

Statement Two:  There is no optimum temperature of the Earth.  What global temperature should we settle on since we believe we can change it?  Clearly this needs to be answered since the ramifications of the temperature we choose to use will effect every plant, animal, and weather pattern the world over.  Answered as the average global temperature we happened to be born into reflects very small thinking and a narrow perspective.  There is no possible response to this statement simply because it is larger than we are.

Why I have a Man Crush on Glenn Beck

Everyone has an opinion.  Glenn Beck takes his opinions to a whole new level.  He SUPPORTS his opinions with FACTS.  Rarely do other opinion opiners do that.  He uses a CHAULK board for crying out loud.  Cheaper and faster than PowerPoint for sure.  The simplicity of the delivery alone says it all.

No one works harder then Glenn Beck.  Three hour radio host each day, a LIVE television show each day, FIVE CONSECUTIVE best selling books (a world record by the way) all at the same time.

All while fending off death threats, libel, slander, Jon Stewart, Stephen Colbert (both VERY funny guys), Rachel Maddow, Keith Olbermann, (both NOT very funny GUYS), Saturday Night Live, Huffington Post, Media Matters, President Obama, The White House, Congressmen (too numerous to mention), Senators (ditto), and the list goes on.  Just GOOGLE Glenn Beck’s name and you’ll see exactly what I mean.

Now he’s on a book(s) tour.  Right after having surgery for appendicitis.  I mean, come on, is this guy Superman or what!

He has no Kryptonite.

He walked away from his Kryptonite after YEARS of struggling with alcohol.  He is a living example of redemption and how redemptive God’s Grace can be.

He speaks of Truth daily.  He speaks of second chances. He speaks of a proud and glorious America.

That is why I have a man crush on Glenn Beck.  And I’m not ashamed to admit it.

A Comprehensive Review of White House Media Control

All White House administrations have a history of message control. Controlling the message is the White House’s highest priority. This administration is no different. However, this can lead to infringement ‘creep’ on free speech and press.

Glenn Beck clearly demonstrated this administrations efforts to control their message October 29th television show. I have taken the time to reiterate his points by redistributing the powerful quotations he provided from White House staffers and parties associated with the White House. I have also added a list of White House actions that have taken place just this year.

The context of these statements should be realized in full. That is, an awareness of the number of different people involved; their affiliation with liberal, often anti-capitalism and pro-socialist ideology; and their relationship to the power element.

I normally don’t write blogs of this length but I feel it is important to demonstrate all of these components together so one has a better appreciation of their relationship to the premise.

Directly White House Related

During President Obama’s campaign, in September of 2008, television reporters in Missouri said this [2:30]: “Senator Barack Obama’s Presidential campaign has asked Missouri law enforcement to target anyone who lies or runs misleading television ads. Prosecutors and sheriffs from across Missouri are joining something called the Barack Obama Truth Squad“.

In the same month, Robert Bauer, Obama’s General Counsel, and husband of the White House Communications Director Anita Dunn, sent a letter to television stations in Ohio and Pennsylvania:
“You need not air this [NRA] advertisement. You have a duty to protect the public from false, misleading, or deceptive advertising…we request that you immediately stop airing this.” Glenn reported that television stations in Ohio and Pennsylvania were threatened with FCC license revocation if they did not comply.

Van Jones, former Green Jobs Czar [8:40]: “Once we are in the situation where people who agree with more than we don’t are governing, the role of Progressive media [snaps his fingers] could change. You can’t have an opposition movement without opposition media.”

Mark Lloyd, the Federal Communication Commissions (FCC) Diversity Czar has said this: “What we are really saying is the Fairness Doctrine is not enough. Put some hard structural rules in place that are going to result in fairness. Who is going to step down so someone else can have power. It should be clear by now that my focus here is not freedom of speech or the press. This freedom is all too often exaggerated. At the very least, broad references to freedom of speech or the press serve as a distraction from the critical examination of other communication policies.”

Cass Sunstein, Administrator of the White House Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs, in his book Democracy and the Problem of Free Speech said this: “A legislative effort to regulate broadcasting in the interest of democratic principles should not be seen as an abridgment of the democratic guarantee.”

Yosi Sergant, at the time the National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) Communications Director [3:38]: “This is just the beginning. We are now just learning to really bring this [NEA] community together to speak with the government. What this looks like legally. I would encourage you to pick something, whether its health care, education, the environment, you know, there’s four key areas that the corporation has identified as key areas of service.” And this [bottom of article]: “This is just the beginning. This is the first telephone call of a brand new conversation. We are just now learning how to really bring this community together to speak with the government. What that looks like legally?…bare with us as we learn the language so that we can speak to each other safely… “ This was a lengthy conference call with 75 NEA affiliated artists. Key points in this call as reported by one of the NEA artists, Patrick Courtrieiche: they were encouraged to bring the same sense of enthusiasm to these “focus areas” as we had brought to Obama’s presidential campaign, and we were encouraged to create art and art initiatives that brought awareness to these issues. …Obama has a strong arts agenda, we were told, and has been very supportive of both using and supporting the arts in creative ways to talk about the issues facing the country. A full transcript of the conference call can be found here.

During the same NEA conference call, Michael Skolnick, political director for hip-hop mogul Russell Simmons said this: “And so I’m hoping that through this group, and the goal of all this, and the goal of this phone call, is through this group we can create a stronger community amongst ourselves to get involved in things we’re passionate about as we did during the campaign. But to continue to get involved in those things, to support some of the President’s initiatives, but also to do things that we are passionate about and to push the President and push his administration.”

Anita Dunn, White House Communications Director said this: “The reality of it is that Fox often operates almost as either the research arm or the communications arm of the Republican Party, but let’s not pretend that they’re a news network the way CNN is. It’s opinion journalism masquerading as news.”

Rahm Emanuel, White House Chief of Staff said this: ” “The way to look at it and the way we — the president looks at it and we look at it — (it) is not a news organization so much as it has a perspective,” Emanuel said of FOX. “And that’s a different take. And more importantly does not have the CNNs and others in the world basically be led and following FOX, as if that — what they’re trying to do is a legitimate news organization in the sense of both sides and a sense of value (and) opinion.”

David Axelrod, White House Senior Advisor said this: “Mr. [Rupert] Murdoch has a talent for making money, and I understand that their programming is geared toward making money. The only argument [White House communications director] Anita [Dunn] was making is that they’re not really a news station if you watch even — it’s not just their commentators, but a lot of their news programming. It’s really not news — it’s pushing a point of view. And the bigger thing is that other news organizations like yours ought not to treat them that way, and we’re not going to treat them that way. We’re going to appear on their shows. We’re going to participate but understanding that they represent a point of view.”

President Obama has said this about the media [7:53]: ” When companies like Clear Channel start to gobble up all the radio stations, or Rupert Murdock starts eyeing a bunch of media outlets, they can outbid a bunch of smaller outlets. What I said is I am committed to having our FCC review what our current policies are in terms of media diversification.” In another statement [0:00]: ” The most important thing we can probably do is to preserve the diversity that is emerging through the Internet. That starts with an open Internet. I will take a back seat to no one in my commitment to network neutrality.” And this [1:00]: Part of what I want to do is expand the diversity of voices in media or have policies that encourage that.”

Indirectly White House Related

Free Press, whose motto is Reform Media Reform Democracy, who is closely affiliated with
Media Matters
, and according to Glenn Beck has a sympathetic ear with the FCC and whose Co-Founder, Robert McChesney has meetings at the White House several times, who has vowed to take apart capitalism brick by brick, has said this [7:18]: “Any serious effort to reform the media system would have to necessarily be part of a revolutionary program to overthrow the capitalist system itself.” He has also said this: “I think it is absolutely indefensible to allow this concentration of media industries. We need a viable anti-trust plan to break up these concentrated media conglomerates. There is no justification to have figures like Rupert Murdock [Fox News] news corporations - break it up.”

Free Press Executive Director Josh Silver, has said this (in regards to Public Broadcasting)[3:30]: ” the growing crisis facing commercial journalism - and public media’s unique ability to address it - makes such reform all the more urgent. You [Obama] have a rare opportunity to achieve real change and reinvent public media. Just as the economic crisis has put an end to free market fundamentalism, so too should the failure of commercial media to adequately serve the public interest and the myth that government has no role in fulfilling society’s information needs.”

Free Press Senior Program Director Craig Aaron [6:45] ” We need new policies to support the media, and I hate to break it to some of you, but the government is going to have to be involved…so what if instead you took a few thousand AmeriCorp jobs and gave them instead to news gathering organizations.”

Actions (Where Words are Not Enough)

Emphasizing this articles LIMITED REVIEW is a brief list of actions the White House has taken JUST THIS YEAR:

  1. Bill would give President emergency control of Internet
  2. Proposals and debate to provide Net Neutrality
  3. White House refusing to put Obama on Fox News during Sunday morning press rounds
  4. White House attempt to have citizens send ‘fishy’ information to flag@whitehouse.gov
  5. World Net Daily reports on several instances of the White House scrubbing the Internet
  6. Wiki pages are frequently being scrubbed of contrary content
  7. There have been high level meetings and discussion regarding newspaper bailouts, something President Obama is open to
  8. AmeriCorp funding tripled this year, the largest amount ever (Free Press’ proposed future journalists)
  9. NEA funding was just increased to the largest amount in sixteen years (proposed propaganda machine)
  10. Yosi Sergant was ‘reassigned’ after his NEA conference call became public (White House distancing)
  11. President Obama promised to create an ArtistCorp during his campaign
  12. US Dept of Justice subpoena’s news website user list and other confidential information
  13. Honorable mention (not White House related): New Hampshire will bail out a failing newspaper

Clearly, this administration has a zealous desire to CONTROL the message. They certainly have overtly demonstrated the desire to SUPPRESS the message (Fox News). They even have expressed a desire to CREATE the message (NEA conference call). What was a weekly assault on free speech is becoming almost a daily event.

It is clear to me that a systematic and purposeful endeavor is afoot by the White House to control the media perhaps in ways that we have never seen before. Admittedly, I lack a necessary historical perspective in order to determine the scale of egregious this approach has or will become. I certainly have more than an unpleasant taste in my mouth. I have an uneasiness in my gut.

I hope this helps you to realize and discover your own truth [please read the post The Manipulators of Reality].

LIBERTY IS MEANINGLESS WHERE THE RIGHT TO UTTER ONE’S THOUGHTS AND OPINIONS HAS CEASED TO EXIST. THAT, OF ALL RIGHTS, IS THE DREAD OF TYRANTS. IT IS THE RIGHT WHICH THEY FIRST OF ALL STRIKE DOWN. -FREDERICK DOUGLAS

State Run MSNBC

We all know by now the White House’s very public stance on Fox News. What people should really be aware of, is the White House’s relational OWNERSHIP of MSNBC.

General Electric CEO, Jeffrey Immelt, (charged this year with cooking GE’s books), is a White House Economic Advisor. General Electric owns NBC, CNBC, MSNBC. Anyone who watches NBC, CNBC, and MSNBC, should be aware of these relationships. It speaks directly about credibility. Adding to this background is the fact that GE’s financial arm, GE Capital, has received a federal loan guarantee of 139 billion dollars during recent federal financial bailouts.

Recently, when Obama’s personal advisor, Valerie Jarret, was asked by CNN’s Campbell Brown about MSNBC’s obvious bias relationship, Jarret refused to answer the question.

I watch MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow quite often. Both of them recently met with Obama at the White House for an off the record chat with the President.

I watch MSNBC’s Olbermann and Maddow so I can mentally gauge the amount of lies being produced by the Obama administration. Watching Olbermann and Maddow gives me a valuable and precious perspective. I can easily figure out what is true by watching the lies and distortions available on MSNBC.

Here is their nightly template: bash Bush, Limbaugh, Beck, FOX, any Republican who has an ethical problem, a ‘turncoat democrat’, and let’s not forget Sarah Palin. Oh, they love to bash Palin more than any other private or public figure known to mankind. Not a single night will go by without a Palin bashing.

Olbermann and Maddow also quote polls favorable to their cause without citation. When they dare cite the favorable poll source, we find out is a left wing blog source like Daily Kos or Huffington Post, or worse, an NBC source. I have not known them to cite a legitimate poll like Gallup or Rasmussen when the poll is not favorable to their bias.

When you look into their guests backgrounds, a quick Google search will demonstrate an affiliation with an organization that supports a left wing ideology. The self proclaimed socialist Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is a show regular.

MSNBC is THE illegitimate news source in this country. It is relationally owned by the White House and nightly, Olbermann and Maddow prove they are willing accomplices of White House lies, distortions, and spin.

Will the Real Sarah Palin Please Stand Out

Yesterday I wrote about the trademark violation, the Right of Publicity violation, regarding a fake Sarah Palin book. Previously I’ve written about the Malevolent Media and their oxymoronic wrath towards her.

I guess what is bugging me MOST about the fake Sarah Palin book is that it clearly illustrates, no pun intended, the length people will go to propagate lies.

Think about the lie that is being perpetrated here. Her enemies have literally created a Sarah Palin that is not real. The Sarah Palin they want you to see. They are not interested in truth, only lies. The real Palin is so offensive to them, they had to CREATE a Palin that does not exist!

In this same manner, and the formula is EXACTLY the same, these same people have created a Barack Obama who is not real. We are merely being fed an image, a lie, nothing is as it appears. This grand lie is meant to mislead, obfuscate, and hide the truth. Further proof is Barack Obama’s attack on Fox News. He is afraid of the sunlight Fox News shines through his veil and therefore must discredit the information they provide to the public.

There is truth and there is not truth. We all should be very careful of how we interpret into our knowledge what is real.

The first lie will only be supported by more and more lies wrote Miguel Ruiz in his book, The Voice of Knowledge: A Practical Guide to Inner Peace. This unfortunately is EXACTLY where we are at today with our government and media. I wish I could bring you good news on this instead. The bright side is this: more and more people are gaining knowledge, waking up to the lies, and discovering truth.

Sarah Palin: Rogue or Rouge? Can You Say Trademark Violation

While Sarah Palin has geared up to launch her book, Going Rogue: An American Life, the liberal lefties have decided to put out a book, Going Rouge, An American Nightmare, which of course is more conservative bashing.

But not only do these strikingly similar covers create confusion, they break the law, specifically trademark law. Trademark law was established to prevent this very scenario and this issue should be taken very seriously by the Palin crew. Take Disney’s very serious stance on trademark violations: they sued actor Rob Lowe who dressed as Snow White for an Emmy presentation.

When Sarah Palin was a public official, her image was not protected by trademark law. Public official’s images are not protected. However, public celebrities images ARE protected by trademark law. Now that she IS rogue, she is considered a celebrity and her image is protected.

I would expect you to see, in just a few days, lawsuits flying. And they should. The law has clearly been violated here. The liberals will of course complain. Too bad for them.

Political Predictions Have Come True

ON March 7, 2009 I made eight predictions in a blog titled Barack Obama’s First 45 Days. Five of these eight predictions have or are coming true.

FROM MARCH 7 2009: I’m sorry to predict that President Obama’s policies will continue to worsen economic and social conditions in this country. Mr. Obama’s socialist agenda is simply not compatible with the capitalist culture. The continuous clashes of these two diametrically opposed ideologies will merely promote and foster continuous disharmony. His rampant spending will only promote more government greed and corruption.

  1. President Obama will sign the Omnibus Budget complete with 8,000 earmarks in spite of his campaign promises. He will predicate this on ‘the need to do this immediately to help the economy.’ The ‘debate’ you will witness over the size of this budget and its earmarks are merely more political theater.
  2. Rampant government spending will continue. This is his published Plan for America and he will refuse to make any adjustments no matter what the current economic conditions. Proof of this will be his ardent refusal to postpone the spending on a national health care plan despite pressure to do so.
  3. I have predicted for months to family and friends that the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) would fail. Early reports are that trouble is brewing as the FDIC has asked to borrow 500 billion from the Government and raise their fees to banks. There is simply not enough money available to insure all of our money as banks fail. The government will not have enough money at some point to cover the FDIC. [1] [writer's note today: FDIC has not failed yet but signs indicate it has further struggling, see referenced article].
  4. Foreign policy will become a contentious problem with the new administration. Obama’s arrogance combined with his inexperience will breed poor decision after poor decision. He is already demonstrating missteps. Early proof of serious problems in this arena will be Hillary Clinton’s resignation as Secretary of State. [2] [writer's note today: she has not resigned yet but according to the lead editor at the Weekly Standard she will this Fall. I further predict she is weeks or even days away from the announcement. This ties in somehow with White House requests for Patterson to not run in 2010].
  5. President Bush and members of his administration will be investigated for ‘war crimes’. Despite feigning distaste for these measures, President Obama will find ‘too many signs that warrant serious investigation’ into these matters. This will prove to be disastrous for this country and further the divide between Dems and GOP’ers.

Watch for 3 and 4 to further develop. The three of eight that are stagnant? A second TARP bill would pass, a second Stimulus Bill would pass, Rush Limbaugh would be removed from the airwaves. I’m going to stick with all three. Things are certainly moving in that direction.

Remembering 9-11

If you were hoping to commemorate 9-11 along with your favorite morning show today, you may have been very disappointed unless you were watching Fox & Friends on Fox News.

NBC spent 8.5 minutes (3 segments), MSNBC 4 minutes (1segment), CBS 10 minutes (3 segments), and ABC 6 minutes (2 segments). The extensive coverage happened during their 3 to 4 hour morning show programs today.

Fox News on the other hand spent 54.5 minutes in 10 different segments during its Fox & Friends 3 hour broadcast.

Glenn Beck and Everyone Else

Glenn Beck finished up a stunning week of television last week by sucking in the liberal haters with a misspelled word.  Using OLIGARCH as an acronym for President Obama’s hidden agenda, he purposefully left out the letter –C- on Thursday’s program.  Easily predicted, the liberal bloggers ridiculed him without mercy (something they do anyhow without provocation).  On Friday, he opened with the ‘correction’ of the misspelling.  While thanking the liberal bloggers for their poignant correction, he gleefully pointed out that you couldn’t spell OLIGARCH as an acronym without the letter –C-.  You can’t acronym OLIGARCH without the Czars.  Perfect!

The corrections you will NOT see are the ones from bloggers who macerated Glenn about his misspelling foray.  They are not printing corrections nor acknowledging that they were ‘had’, especially  The Huffington Post, the liberal blog masquerading as an actual news source.

Speaking of the Huffington Post, you won’t find any blogging about the Drudge Report’s biggest headline this year: Bill Would Give Obama ‘Emergency Control of the Internet.  You would think they would care, being an internet based ‘news source’.

What you will find on the Huffington Post is an absolute obsession with Glenn Beck and Sarah Palin.  They can’t get enough of either of them.  While claiming Sarah Palin is Obsessed with Obama, they are actually exacerbating their obsession about Sarah Palin.

Meanwhile, last week while Glenn Beck was presenting facts about a government obsessed with controlling its people, the ‘other’ news sources were doing their own ‘investigative journalism' (you have to let the video run a bit to get to the cited story):

 ·      Rachel Maddow (show of the same name) was exposing the Federation for American Coal, Energy and Security, or FACES, for using stock photos on its website.  Wow!  What an evil organization.  When will the hating end for the coal industry!  (Glad that PhD is working out for her).

·      Keith Obermann of Countdown was calling Fox News watchers ‘tinfoil hatters, conspiracy theorists, propagandists, and racists ‘on his television show.  This while LYING about his ratings in the same breath.

·      My favorite was Chris Matthews of Hardball moderating a discussion on right wing hate groups.  He actually said that although Kennedy’s killer, Oswald, was a left wing communist, he carried ‘right wing type anger’.  More notable during this segment, while interviewing Mark Potok from the Southern Poverty Law Center, he asked ‘what role does Glenn Beck play [in today’s violent tone]’?  Mr. Potok, instead of recusing himself from the question, answered it with ‘I think he plays a very nasty role.’  Why should he have recused himself?  His colleague, James Rucker, is on the board of Directors of the Southern Poverty Law Center AND James Rucker is the Executive Director of ColorOfChange.org, the same organization trying to shut down the Glenn Beck television and radio shows.  What strange coincidence.

These three examples of ‘journalism’ occurred on MSNBC.  The same network owned by GE, whose CEO Jeff Immelt, is one of President Obama’s Economic Advisors.  The same Jeff Immelt, who was fined 50 million dollars this month by the SEC for cooking GE’s books.  What a strange coincidence.

If you noticed I was missing from the blogwaves recently, it is because the server hosting my website and blog were crashed by a hacker last week, two days after blogs about Tea Parties and fact based market issues related to government stocks.  What a strange coincidence.

Tea Party Evolved

My first Tea Party was in late February of this year and more or less a ‘personal assignment’ to investigate how many and what type of people would actually attend ‘this type of event’.  I had no idea what to expect.  About 65 people attended.  Many had legal pads and were just trying to get organized and create lists of contacts so that they could further organize.  I did not stay long because it was held inside a small bar and the noise level was pretty intense from the excitement.  I was comforted by the simple fact that most of the people seemed to be just like me.

The next Tea Party I attended was in late March.  There were about 300 attendees in this small city park.  Lots of signs, lots of anxious discontent about our new government’s spending programs.  Lots of curious onlookers wondering if they belonged with ‘these types of people.’  Everyone was respectful and some literally had tea bags hanging from their hats.  People took turns speaking from a megaphone to the crowd.  The crowed cheered with each personal story.  My family attended and were pleased to see so many concerned people who cared so much about their country.

The third Tea Party I attended was on April 15th.  With the help of a local radio station, the attendance was 3,000 people strong.  The outdoor event unintentionally closed down a city street because of the unexpected turnout.  There were politicians speaking and personal stories from the crowds. There were a few cute signs and curious onlookers wondering what type of people would ‘attend this type of event.’  Everyone seemed to be just like me.  My family joined me once again.

I was so impressed with the polite discord, how well informed many of the people were about issues and facts, and the sincere passion they brought to these rallies that I’m now a proud active member of a Tea Party organizing group.

On September 12th, Tea Parties are being held once again all over the country, in a home town near you, this day chosen to commemorate that feeling of unity we all had as a country the day after September 11, 2001.  Please attend one of these parties if you can.  Bring a friend, bring your family.  Bring your heart and soul.  You’ll be glad you did and you will realize that all those crazy people you have been hearing described by the media are just like you.

You can find a September 12th Tea Party in your home town by clicking on this link.  Please forward this letter to a friend or a fence-sitter.  They will be glad you did.

Health Care Promises and the Press Corp

Here are just some of the noteworthy questions the inept, weak and uninformed Press Corp did not ask President Obama during his prime time health care press conference.  Begin each bullet point with this question:  “President Obama, during your presidential campaign, you promised that your health care plan would…[insert bullet point here]…is this still a promise you are willing to stand by?”

  • Lower costs for businesses by covering a portion of the catastrophic health costs they pay in return for lower premiums for employees.
  • We’ll give small businesses a tax credit to pay 50% of the cost of covering their employees.
  • I have a health care plan that will cover every American and cut the cost of every family’s premiums by up to $2500 a year.
  • If you don’t have health care, this plan will offer you coverage that’s similar to the kind federal employees and members of Congress give themselves.
  • If you cannot afford this insurance, you will receive a subsidy to pay for it.
  • If you have children, they will be covered.
  • If you change jobs, your insurance will go with you.
  • If you need to see a doctor, you will not have to wait in long lines for one.
  • It will help business and families shoulder the burden of catastrophic care so that an illness doesn’t lead to a bankruptcy.
  • I will aggressively cut health care costs by reducing waste, greed and paperwork; lowering the cost of prescription drugs; and eliminating wasteful subsidies to private plans in Medicare. That will save a lot, but will still leave a cost of about $65 billion a year.  I’ll cover that remaining cost with a portion of the money I’ll save by ending George Bush’s tax breaks for people making more than $250,000 a year.
  • The Obama-Biden plan builds on the existing health care system using existing providers, doctors and plans to implement the plan.
  • Prevent insurers from overcharging doctors for their malpractice insurance
  • Ensure everyone who needs it will receive a tax credit for their premiums.
  • Establish a National Health Insurance Exchange with a range of private insurance options as well as a new public plan based on benefits available to members of Congress that will allow individuals and small businesses to buy affordable health coverage.
  • Obama and Biden are committed to the long-term strength of the Medicare program
  • Obama will work to give seniors choices about their care, consistent with their needs, and not biased towards institutional care.
  • Obama will work to reform the financing of long term care to protect seniors and families.
  • Obama will work to improve the quality of elder care, including by training more nurses and health care workers.
  • Barack Obama and Joe Biden’s plan will promote prevention and strengthening of public health to prevent disease and protect against natural and man-made disasters.
  • Obama and Biden will require coverage of preventive services including cancer screenings.
  • Require insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions so all Americans regardless of their health status or history can get comprehensive benefits at fair and stable premiums.
  • Barack Obama and Joe Biden will build on America’s talent in science, technology, and engineering, and the powerful insights into biological systems that are emerging, to create new drugs, vaccines, and diagnostic tests and to manufacture these vital products much more quickly and efficiently than is now possible.
  • Barack Obama will continue to promote international efforts to develop new diagnostics, vaccines, and medicines that will be available and affordable in all parts of the world.
  • If you want more choices, you will also have the option of purchasing a number of affordable private plans that have similar benefits and standards for quality and efficiency.

Perhaps the Press Corp could do a little more research in an attempt to bring more professionalism to their practice.  Would it be so difficult to ask a probing question that provides a modicum of accountability?

These health care campaign promises and 867 more are catalogued and sourced on my Barack Obama Promise Tracker.

The Malevolent Media

The medias endless erroneous assault continues on Sarah Palin.

Which begs the question: what illegal, unethical, immoral or common failure act has she committed?  In other words, what facts support their opinion?

The media is guilty of harassment of a nature never seen before.  Quick to forgive like minded criminals, they not only are unforgiving of those they disagree with, they attack without provocation or merit.  On one hand they portray her as a dangerous moronic idiot while on the other hand, they expend valuable resources which normally should not be wasted on such persons.

This oxymoronic wrath serves to only expose their true malevolent nature and should provide the public with one more massive example of the need for the public’s maximum distrust.

Green Acres Syndrome

Oliver Douglas was the lead male character in the popular television series Green Acres which ran in the mid 1960’s for six seasons.  Mr. Douglas played a sharp common sense type who was surrounded quite literally by a village of idiots.  He felt like he was crazy, though, since he was surrounded by so many like minded individuals.  The real crazy’s of course were the lame brained out of touch fools running the town.  This of course led to many laughs and endless continuous frustration on his part.

I feel like Oliver Douglas everyday.  I wonder if maybe I’m the crazy one since I’m surrounded by a country full of like minded idiots, believing Barack Obama’s every word, following his every fly swat, and supporting his reckless policies.

Like Oliver, I’m continually frustrated because from my perspective the truth is so easy to find, the sense so common, the facts are not confused with feelings, and the outcome is so crystal clear.

I have Green Acres Syndrome.

Obama's End Game

Barack Obama’s end game is now crystal clear: run up the national debt while purchasing endless social entitlements thereby forcing socialism on a capitalist society. After reading every Barack Obama campaign speech and his internet published Plan for America, I’ve concluded that this has always been his plan for America. He did not try to hide his agenda and makes no apologies for his agenda. He truly believes this is the best thing for America.

Supporting evidence is also seen in the the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA Stimulus Plan) and the current federal budget which are stuffed to over capacity with endless frivolous earmarked social spending programs that have quadrupled the national debt in a microcosmic six months.

The social spending will continue. It must continue in order for President Obama’s scheme to succeed for that is merely step one.

Step two will be to redistribute wealth from its wealthier citizens to the less wealthy. This will be accomplished by continually increasing taxes on all Americans in both the hidden and wage form. All Americans will have to pay higher taxes (we already are) as there will be no other choice as it becomes necessary to satisfy and reconcile the crushing debt that Mr. Obama purposefully placed upon America’s back.

The Socialist Utopian Society that is the progressive agenda can never be achieved. There is not enough money and not enough need. Regardless of the consequences, these Utopists will continue on the path of fiscal irresponsibility, continually stressing the economic status quo, simply because the end justifies the means.

Hour by hour, day by day, week by week, citizens of this country become weaker as the government, proven to be self satisfying and corrupt, becomes stronger, bolder, and less fearful of its subjects.

Barack Obama Promise Tracking

Please bear with me on these numbers for a brief moment while I get to my point:

I’ve updated my Barack Obama Promise Tracker once again and the numbers speak for themselves. Out of the 895 promises being tracked, he has kept 73 promises and broken 60. This leaves 763 promises either in the works or untouched.

This puts President Obama at the slightly over 50 percent mark for keeping promises. He performs well in areas that deal with expanding social programs and government spending. No surprises there. Energy and transportation categories also rank well. Categories that remain at 50 percent kept and broken are economy and ‘first day’ promises. Categories that rank poorly as being kept are ethics and foreign policy. Adding insult to injury, he promised the American people he would perform well in areas of ethics and foreign policy making this a double disappointment.

But this leads to a bit of a debate. What is the percentage of promises you have to keep in order to maintain trust? Are you a liar if you break one promise or do you need to break only 25 percent of your promises? Are politicians held to a different standard? Are you dishonest if you make promises you know you can’t keep? What if a promise is only partially kept?

Perhaps the nature of the promise which allows it to be so subjective is why politicians have no fear to tread there.

I think the answer is three parts with each part I premise as being able to stand alone: 1) how important is the promise to you specifically, 2) what is the accumulation or track record of the broken promise(s), and 3) what is the veracity of the promise or how much has it been stated.

Specific promises show us for example, whereas the Global Aids Alliance is extremely disappointed in the funding provided for Aids, other diseases, and education in the African nations. President Obama’s promises to continue to increase funding fell short and the GAA accuse him of turning his back on the those poorest and in the most need. I suppose the GAA now has distrust for Mr. Obama.

Your spouse’s promise of fidelity certainly is specific to you and your needs. This could be a make or break promise in your eyes.

What about the accumulation of broken promises, like those in the Ethics category, is this not proof that this is not the most ethical administration in history, as promised to be? I say yes, most completely.

The one promise that carries all three premises: personal, accumulation, and veracity that must not be broken in my mind or the whole house of cards will come tumbling down is this one: If your a family earning less than $250,000 per year my plan will not raise your taxes - not your income taxes, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes. Unfortunately folks, this one will fall thanks to the rampant uncontrolled unbridled spending mess that is Mr. Obama.

As the broken promises continue to become personal, accumulative, and the most remembered continue to fall, Mr. Obama’s popularity will continue to follow the same path.  (Polls find rising concern with Obama on key issues).

Let’s hope so.
